Description

A lovely pair of shell-shaped antique Victorian dangle earrings with hand-engraved design and bead accent, circa 1880’s. The earrings are 14k yellow gold (tested) and have a combined weight o 1.4 dwts (2.2 gr.). The body of each earring is a fancy scallop edged oval with a single bead dangling from the base. Reverse has a simple ear wire with latch hook. Overall dimensions are 1 5/16-inches (33.5 mm) in length, from the top of the ear wire to base of the bead dangle and 1/2-inch (13.3 mm) wide. Condition is very good: the ear wires appear to have been repaired (soft soldered on the back and a hard solder on one wire). The bead dangles are likely a later addition/repair as well.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is.  I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist.  I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc.  I use the term “delicate” in many of my listings which I interpret to mean small or dainty.  If the ring or item requires extra care when worn, usually I use “fragile” or “wear with care”. Most pieces have been lightly polished or cleaned, if possible, unless the process will damage or alter their natural patina.  Some items can be altered, some cannot, so please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can.   Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.
