Description

A simply beautiful vintage Victorian revival cross pendant encrusted with imitation Bohemian garnets, circa 1930’s. It is made of a gold-plated (gilt) base metal and is stamped on the reverse with a patent number (2080317) that was granted in 1937. The patent references this particular style of “jeweled” setting (where the stones appear to “float”). Overall dimensions of the cross are 2-inches in length and 1 3/8-inches wide plus a tiny jump ring at the top. The faceted flat back stones are held in place by prongs and a tinted epoxy. Condition is very good: the mounting has some minor oxidation so appears a darker gold color.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is.Ā  I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist.Ā  I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc.Ā  I use the term “delicate” in many of my listings which I interpret to mean small or dainty.Ā  If the ring or item requires extra care when worn, usually I use ā€œfragileā€ or “wear with care”. Most pieces have been lightly polished or cleaned, if possible, unless the process will damage or alter their natural patina.Ā  Some items can be altered, some cannot, so please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can.Ā Ā  Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.
