Description

An absolutely lovely Victorian choker necklace featuring rose cut Bohemian garnets arranged in dangles, swags and clusters. Center of the necklace is a round cluster that measures 18.0 mm in diameter. Attached to the center cluster is a lovely swag and several dangles. The remainder of the necklace consists of three-stone links that end with a delicate box catch at the back. Total length of the necklace is 15 1/2-inches, total drop at the center is 1 1/8-inches. It is made of a gold-tone base metal (likely brass) with a gilt finish. The garnets have that vivid red color and are a combination of round and pear-shapes. Condition is very good. This piece should be handled with care and cleaned with a jewelry cloth (do not immerse in liquid jewelry cleaner).

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is.  I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist.  I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc.  I use the term “delicate” in many of my listings which I interpret to mean small or dainty.  If the ring or item requires extra care when worn, usually I use “fragile” or “wear with care”. Most pieces have been lightly polished or cleaned, if possible, unless the process will damage or alter their natural patina.  Some items can be altered, some cannot, so please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can.   Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.

Care for Plastic or Foil Backed Rhinestone Jewelry:  Take care to not drop vintage pieces, especially on hard surfaces.  Vintage jewelry often has vintage epoxy securing the stones; if jarred with enough force, the epoxy can crumble or break and stones can fall out.  Also, do not immerse plastic beads or foil back rhinestones in liquid cleaner.  Best practices are to use a soft cloth with a small amount of cleaner (don’t spray directly on rhinestones) and make sure to dry immediately.  And, always put your jewelry on AFTER you have used perfume or hairspray.  Your jewelry will thank you by staying sparkly for a long time!
