Description

This is an awesome vintage Victorian-revival necklace dating to the 1940’s. It features baroque shield-shaped center piece that is set with an emerald cut green glass stone accented with tiny rhinestones. The emerald cut is a deep, slightly bluish-green that measures 10 x 8 mm and is prong set. Above and below the center stone are tiny round rhinestone accents. The center design element is attached to a herringbone style chain with decorative connecting links that are set with faux pearls. Total length of the necklace is 17-inches; the center piece measures 1 1/2-inches wide and 1 15/-16-inches tall. Even the fold-over snap-lock clasp has lovely decorative elements. Both the chain and the mounting are a gold-tone base metal, likely brass. Condition is very good: some of the faux pearls have wear on the high spots and the mounting is slightly oxidized; both are consistent with age and use.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is.  I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist.  I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc.  I use the term “delicate” in many of my listings which I interpret to mean small or dainty.  If the ring or item requires extra care when worn, usually I use “fragile” or “wear with care”. Most pieces have been lightly polished or cleaned, if possible, unless the process will damage or alter their natural patina.  Some items can be altered, some cannot, so please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can.   Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.
