Description

Lovely vintage lilac colored stone set in sterling silver filigree brooch, circa 1930. The brooch is a rhodium-plated sterling silver mounting (rhodium plating keeps the brooch from oxidizing). Overall dimensions are 1 1/4-inches in length and 3/4-inch wide. It is set with an octagonal shaped purplish-violet colored stone; stone has slightly abraded facet junctions (see photo). Brooch is stamped on reverse sterling silver (on the pin stem and the body of piece). It is also marked PSCO which is the trademark of Plainville Stock Company, founded in the 1890’s in Massachusetts. Overall condition is very good.

All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is. I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist. I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc. Many pieces have not been polished or cleaned (aside from a soft cloth) due to their delicate nature or to retain their natural patina. Some items can be altered, some cannot but please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can. Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in which they were received and within two (2) weeks of receipt.
