Description

A hand-carved and cast pendant featuring stylized fish wrapped around an ancient Roman coin and accented with garnets and 18k gold. Pendant consists of two fish wrapped around the coin and connecting at the bail. The coin is a Constantinus Follis with Jupiter on the reverse that dates to thee 3rd Century ACE (Note: I am not a coin expert and acquired the coin specifically for jewelry purposes, not for numismatic collecting.) Each eye of the fish is set with a single round faceted garnet set in 18k yellow gold. Overall length of the pendant is 1 3/4-inches and width 1 1/8-inches; weight is 10.8 dwts. Pendant is shown on a black or brown leather cord with a sterling clasp.
