Description

An awesome reversible late-Victorian mourning pendant with photograph and bail accented with diamonds. Body of the pendant is oval and made of onyx (tested) that measures 51 x 40 mm. One side is solid, high-polished with a single faceted imitation diamond set in a bezel. The stone is cushion shaped and measures 4 x 4 mm. The opposite side is inset with a yellow gold edge (tested as 10k or better) and glass frame with a photograph that has been cut to fit the frame (back side of photo/cabinet card is dated 1894 and the name Olson–I assume the name of the photographer). The photograph is of a man with wire rimmed glasses and what looks like clerical dress.
Attached bail is at least 14k yellow gold (tested), black enameled and set with five (5) rose cut diamonds and graduated sizes. The diamonds range in size from 1.5 to 1.0 mm. Total length of pendant is 2 3/4-inches and width 1 9/16-inches. Condition is very good. Enameling on the bail has been chipped in several spots due to age and wear.

All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is. I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist. I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc. Many pieces have not been polished or cleaned (aside from a soft cloth) due to their delicate nature or to retain their natural patina. Some items can be altered, some cannot but please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can. Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in which they were received and within two (2) weeks of receipt.
