Description

A lovely 1940’s era Victorian revival locket and chain with original box, manufactured by F-M. Co. The locket is a fancy elongated six-sided shape with a fancy floral edging and a cluster of rhinestones in the center. Locket opens with spaces to contain two photos or keepsakes, with the original paper and frames. Inside is stamped 1/20th 10k Gold Filled and the maker’s mark which may reference Finberg Manufacturing Co. Finberg manufacturing was established in 1888 to make perfume, and eventually evolved into a mail-order jewelry business around 1900 which continued in to the 1960’s. The locket is attached to a simple cable link chain that is 18-inches long with its original clasp. The box is a purple flocked paper backed box that measures 4 x 3 x 1-inches. Condition is good: both box and locket show wear consistent with age and use. Pendant has some oxidization around the edges.

All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is.  I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist.  I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc.  I use the term “delicate” in many of my listings which I interpret to mean small or dainty.  If the ring or item requires extra care when worn, usually I use “fragile” or “wear with care”. Most pieces have been lightly polished or cleaned, if possible, unless the process will damage or alter their natural patina.  Some items can be altered, some cannot, so please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can.   Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in which they were received and within two (2) weeks of receipt.
