Vintage 1950’s Bow Ring with Purple Chalcedony
A fun vintage ribbon ring from the 1950’s featuring a gorgeous lavender-purple chalcedony cabochon. The ring mounting is 10k yellow gold (stamped on interior) with two bow designs, one each side of the center stone. The bows wrap around the ring and have a slight texture to highlight details. The stone is securely set with wide prongs. This chalcedony, I purchased while in the gem markets of Thailand and it just so happened to fit this mounting perfectly. It is a beautiful stone that measures 10.7 x 8.6 mm. Overall width of the ring is 14.2 mm tapering to 1.5 mm at the base of the shank. It is a finger size 4 1/2 but can be sized by a qualified jeweler. Condition is near perfect.
All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is. I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist. I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc. Many pieces have not been polished or cleaned (aside from a soft cloth) due to their delicate nature or to retain their natural patina. Some items can be altered, some cannot but please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can. Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.
Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in which they were received and within two (2) weeks of receipt.
