Description
A delicate early 20th century articulated pendant with chain, 14-karat yellow gold (tested) with vivid red imitation ruby accented with an imitation diamond. Both stones are set in simple bezels with a milgrain edge. The ruby is pear shaped and measures 7 x 4 mm. A delicate textured gold leaf design accents the imitation diamond. Total length of the pendant is 7/8-inches (including the bail). Pendant and chain weigh 0.7 dwts. Chain is a fine double link rope style that measures 18-inches long with a spring ring clasp. Overall condition is very good.
All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is. I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist. I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc. I use the term “delicate” in many of my listings which I interpret to mean small or dainty. If the ring or item requires extra care when worn, usually I use “fragile” or “wear with care”. Most pieces have been lightly polished or cleaned, if possible, unless the process will damage or alter their natural patina. Some items can be altered, some cannot, so please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can. Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.
