Description

Pair of fabulous Art Deco carved Bakelite shoe or dress clips with square rhinestones, circa 1930. Each clip consists of a shield shaped piece of black bakelite with an elaborate carved pattern. Overall shape is a simplified shield shape that measures 1 5/8-inches in length, 1-inch wide and 3/8-inches in depth. Set diagonally across the top of each is a row of seven square, foiled, rhinestones, each measuring 4.0 x 4.0 mm. Reverse has a silver tone base metal clip that both function properly. Clips are unsigned. Overall condition is near-perfect- some of the rhinestones have discolored ever so slightly which is consistent with age and use.

All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is. I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist. I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc. Many pieces have not been polished or cleaned (aside from a soft cloth) due to their delicate nature or to retain their natural patina. Some items can be altered, some cannot but please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can. Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in which they were received and within two (2) weeks of receipt.
