Description

A gorgeous vintage Renaissance-revival/baroque pin-brooch featuring a large blue cabochon center accented by marcasites, circa 1920.  Brooch is oval with a leaves and floral design around the perimeter. It is made of a silver-tone base metal that has a dark oxidized finish. Center features a turquoise blue glass cabochon set in a silver bezel; stone measures 25 x 18 mm. The cabochon has a lovely mottling of blues with a few golden yellow accents. Ten tiny marcasites add a little sparkle around the perimeter. Reverse has a fancy lattice design with a traditional pin assembly. Brooch is unsigned but its elements/construction indicate it is of Eastern European Origin (Bohemian, Czech, etc). Overall dimensions are 2 1/4-inches (59 mm) x 1 5/8-inches (42 mm) Condition is very good.

All of my vintage items are all previously worn and loved and so are sold as is. I have a long history in the jewelry industry (since 1993!) and am a certified GIA gemologist. I do my best to accurately describe items and am confident in my ability to assess stones, metal, construction, etc. Many pieces have not been polished or cleaned (aside from a soft cloth) due to their delicate nature or to retain their natural patina. Some items can be altered, some cannot but please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as quickly as I can. Please keep in mind that custom-altered pieces are non-returnable.

Return policy: I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. I will accept returns and refund the full amount paid less the cost of shipping and insurance. I ask that all items are returned to me in the same condition in which they were received and within two (2) weeks of receipt.
